The rumors are true! Super Street Fighter IV is coming! GameSpot put up their sneak peak at the highly anticipated title and the fans are going wild! So far we have been treated to a very artsy hype trailer and the mention of at least 8 more playable characters (two revealed today: Juri and T. Hawk) in addition to IV’s 25. The game is slated to come out Spring 2010! Before you ask in the comments, “WTF, isn’t this a TEKKEN site?!” Just know that if it wasn’t for Capcom and Street Fighter the fighting game genre wouldn’t be what it is today! Food for thought! Mad Catz announced today that the initial run of Street Fighter IV FightPads and FightSticks are no longer being produced and that “Round 2″ will take over! The Mad Catz Street Fighter IV line was released earlier this year and saw rave reviews from fans and fighting game enthusiasts alike. The top players of the Philippine TEKKEN community gathered on September 12th to decide on the new title of Philippine TEKKEN 6: Bloodline Rebellion Champion! Rounding out the players, Coffee Prinz and his Steve Fox won in an impressive round robin victory over his peers. If you’ve been following the Street Fighter IV scene lately, you’ll know that the last chance to qualify for Super Battle Opera 7 (Tougeki 2009) took place yesterday at Denjin Arcade in Simi Valley, CA. 31 teams entered, and when all was said and done, the team of Alex “CaliPower” Valle and Peter “COMBOFIEND” Rosas came out on top and will move on to represent the United States at SBO7!
