AdhocParty for PS3 is coming out soon for North America! If you’re not familiar with what AdhocParty is, it’s an app for the PS3 that allows PSPs to connect to each other via the PlayStation Network. The Japanese version launched last year and it’s worked out great so far for PSP titles such as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and DISSIDIA Final Fantasy. Here’s to hoping the English version works out just as well for the upcoming TEKKEN 6 for PSP! And don’t forget! If you have a PSPgo, you can also take advantage of this feature while using a PS3 Bluetooth controller!

The TEKKEN 6 GGL competition is soon under way with the Practice Ladder now live and the actual Tournament Ladder beginning Monday, Nov 2nd through Sunday, Nov. 29th, followed by a Playoff Bracket beginning Dec 2nd and a Live National Final on Dec 12th in San Francisco, CA! The T5DR ONLINE Update is now live for the American version of the game. To download, simply enter the game and a window will pop up asking if you’d like to update. Among the new features are a new “Pickup Match” option, room naming, “Next Turn” alerts, and more.

Hey everyone! MarkMan here again… We’ve been a bit lazy as of late in regards to site updates. I just wanted to let everyone know what we’re doing and what’s new! First off, thanks to our very own n8nmonster, we have all the T5DR Frame Data up on the site! Also we’re going to be updating the T5DR: ONLINE section of the site heavily this week, opening new site sections and hopefully get the online matchfinder up and running. Lasty check out the latest info on Tekken 6 in our TEKKEN 6 NEWS BLOG! Stay tuned for more T6 news mid-September! Just as we have forseen, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE is out NOW on the PlayStation Store! Get it NOW! If you have IRC join us in #SDTEKKEN for some fun Tekken related chat and to organize some DR: ONLINE Matches! If you don’t have the old US version of T5DR the whole package will cost $29.99 and if you have the old US version(which everyone should!) the cost is just $9.99 for the upgrade! Remember even if you’re not into this whole “ONLINE” ordeal, you still get the wonderful practice mode! See you guys online!

Namco has confirmed that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE for the PlayStation Network will be available at the end of August for North America! With just one more release week for the PSN in August, that narrows down the release date to August 30th! So mark your calendars, cancel plans, and put on a diaper, ONLINE ownage is coming! …and of course, the wonderful practice mode. Thank you Namco! :)

We originally put our money on both August 16th, then the following August 23rd as the forthcoming release date for T5DR ONLINE in the US… Sadly it is not coming out this week! But it is coming, SOON! Namco Bandai Games Inc. is working on some quality issues with the title for American gamers and while there is no concrete date, it is soon. How soon? “Within the next couple of weeks…” as told to us by Namco from their Online Gaming media event which happened earlier tonight. So there you have it folks! Release date for USA is to be announced. But be rest assured the wait is ALMOST over!

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE is finally up on both the Japanese & Hong Kong PlayStation Stores! SD TEKKEN got a couple hours of hands-on time with the upgrade and we are VERY pleased! Our friends over at SHORYUKEN.COM have been working on a special project, the likes of which we have never experienced before! GGPO is an all new approach to online fighting games. Let’s face it, fighting games online have never been that fun… Until now! After participating in the public alpha release of GGPO we are very pleased with the results! This is a revolutionary step forward for fighting games online, no longer are the competitive gamers hindered by lag or latency issues… For once we can play and showcase our true skills! After tasting great online play for a fighting game, I can only hope that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE plays anywhere close to good as GGPO!
