I really wanted to like this movie. I only saw it because it was one of my hero Quentin Crisps last movies. What a depressing way to go out!! I really believe Sara Moore and everyone involved had the best intentions, but it was embarrassing. Its positive to have a cheerful, happy gay film for once, and to show what crazy, wacky people we are:hey!Lea Delaria wears a top hat...crrrrazeee!
The sound quality is awful, the dialogue seems drab, and the plotline kind of hobbles along in the most annoyingly vague way. As for poor old Quentin, how could he possibly have agreed to that appalling mauve ponytail for a start, and lets face it,the only character he could really play with any conviction was..(apart from Elizabeth 1)..Quentin Crisp. This wonderful man,who helped me as I was growing up to learn to except myself and to greet life armed with a sense of humour and individuality, was reduced to such a cringe-worthy script is quite depressing. Surely the title alone is enough to make one blush.
