Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars dated

Console DLC due for release later this week
Criterion will release the Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars Pack "on console" this Thursday, February 19.

As revealed last month, the DLC will pack a number of new vehicles including a DeLorean look-alike, a Ghostbusters car and KITT from Knight Rider, although they won't go by those names due to copyright issues.

Criterion's confirmation of the news via its Twitter page didn't include pricing, but Operation Burnout says the full pack will cost £6.29 in the UK, or that you'll be able to buy individual cars for between £1.59 and £3.19.

According to the game's producer Matt Webster, "PC players will need to be a little more patient. We'll announce the release data for PC Legendary Cars in the near future."

Excellent, I wasn't that bothered by the party mode nonsense but I'll be picking up these bad boys to inject further life into this quality game. I wonder when the new island will be released.... Smile

anyone who is anyone will get the ps3 version of this simply because it is superior

Way to start a fanboy war Laughing

tho this the only multiformat game out there that is any good on ps3 mind, just adding my bit Wink

The two versions are virtually identical in my experience. There's nothing about the PS3 version that jumps out as particularly "better".

Perhaps you could enlighten me, daily?

Awesome. Saw this on the news page last night. Just got the pc version and getting more stuff for it this close (yes we do have to wait but still) is going to be awesome.

The controls are equally responsive, the framerate is rock solid on both machines, and I've never noticed any graphical glitches on either version.

well i daily have also played both versions and it has struck me that the 360 version feels to sluggish and it is very glitchy

I wouldn't go that far but after getting to A license on 360 and getting burnout license on PS3 I can honestly say that the PS3 is holds its framerate better.
The 360 version is smooth most of the time but there is some slowdown from time to time. Also, I thought the colours looked a bit more natural on the PS3 compared with the 360 version.
But both versions are very good.
BTW, the PC version is by far the best version, if you have a decent PC. The textures look much better, framerate is ultra smooth, less anti-aliasing. An extremely good PC port, for once.

I've honestly never noticed one dip in the framerate. Are there specific areas it happens in or?

As much as it pains me to say this, considering Critereons background in producing top class free DLC, this is too much money.

I get confused with DLC pricing, its almost like they rely on a random number generator to decide the price.

Forza 2 DLC was 400pts for 11 cars!!! , Test drive unlimited was 350pts for 6 cars, which also included FULL interior modelling!!!!.

600pts for 4 cars, that don’t have realistic physics modelling, or interior modelling is a little crazy.

I REALLY think that MS start to look into DLC pricing, because its becoming beyond a joke, maybe CVG can do a report on DLC prices?.

I wouldn't get too upset about daily's trolling, he is just the new account of a well-known retard flamebaiter.

Let him imagine his little differences if it makes him feel special. The rest of us live in the real world.

you lot are complaining coz of the price even tho weve all had a very big chunk i think weve already got a great deal already of criterion
spyker66 on 17 Feb '09
This is the kind of DLC you would expect to see for £2-3.99, nothing more.

Ill be getting it though...just for more easy trophies!!
