The first Army of Two: The 40th Day review is in and it's very positive, with PSM3 going as far as calling the EA sequel "2010's first big surprise".
"The 40th Day is the perfect example of a developer listening to criticism and making positive changes," PSM3 says in its latest issue.
"It's not the most progressive or technically impressive game on PS3, but the morality system, weapon customisation and online co-op elevate it, and it's one of the best cover-to-cover shooters on PS3."
Tried the demo, it still feels a bit s**t. there's some lovely indestructible flowerpots in that game though, alongside some paper lanterns which can repel bullets...

Have you not heard? These items are the new Kevlar.
Ironic that PSM3 gave it the same score as the first one . Although, to be fair, they did give it a split score of 79/85 (for playing a lone and playing with a friend respectively) I think, sorry If I'm wrong!
Obviously games are better these days than the start of the PS3's life too, so I guess an 85 now is more like the 90 - 95 of yesterday.
They was raving about the 1st game! asmuch I kinda enjoyed it! it lacked something! plus they took out loads of the original aswell! where was the folklift truck driving bit in the 1st that was splashed all over the trailers in the 1st game, but never materialised?
Controls felt really imprecise to me. Not satisfying to play....think I'll stick to Gears. I don't like the aggro system, it's a flashy way of guiding noobs how to play a shooter.
