Paul McCartney, U2, Karen O nominated for Golden Globes Paul McCartney Tickets

Ricky Gervais hosts the awards next January

Paul McCartney, U2 and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O have all been nominated for Golden Globe awards.

McCartney and U2 are to go head-to-head in the Best Original Song category, alongside Avatar's theme song 'I See You' (sung by Leona Lewis).

Karen O is nominated for her soundtrack to Spike Jonze's film adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are in the Best Original Score category.

The film industry awards ceremony, which is due to take place on January 17 in Hollywood, will hosted by Ricky Gervais.
