A new Transformers game has been revealed, dubbed Transformers: War For Cybertron, via US mag Game Informer. Here's the first teaser trailer too.
"Planned for a 2010 release, Transformers: War For Cybertron is a prequel story that focuses on the conflict on the Transformers homeworld," says the mag.
"Unlike the last two Transformers games from Activision, this title will not be tied to a specific movie or cartoon, leaving developer High Moon Studios open to try new things within the Transformers lore."
High Moon Studios also did the Bourne game, so this one might not be as awful as the others. There is hope people.
Does anyone remember that Transformers game that was out during the PS2 days? It was fantastic, huge roaming levels, nice graphics and great boss battles, and I'm not even a Transformers fan.
The ps2 version was miles ahead of the movie tie ins, This could restore my faith in the Tf games, Wonder if they have soundwave in his original LAMPOST mode ?

That game was the perfect Transformers game. The controls worked perfectly and even allowed you to transform whilst jumping, something the last 2 either lacked completely or struggled with. I'd love to see a Gen 1 game made by Melbourne Studios, if only they could aquire the license. I even bought this game again when i got my original 60gb PS3 2 weeks before it got the dreaded yellow light. Then it got replaced with a 80gb and i had to flog all my PS2 games on ebay.
That game was feckin awesome! One of the most underrated PS2 games in my opinion! The battle with the ship was amazing! Setting your weapon load-out at the beginning of the game was a nice touch too! If its anything like that i`ll be more than happy!
Yeah glad to see some love for the Ps2 game it was bloody brilliant. I hate the f**king film anyway so I'd love to see it based on gen 1. They took f**king liberties with the film which is a disgrace could you imagine if Peter Jackson did the same with Lord of the rings... bastards!

Jackson should have taken thousands of liberties with LOTR, then it might not have been a 10 hour long f**kin frontal lobotomy.
Living in Scotland if i want to watch some people walk a hill for 10 hours i can just look out my window. Never ever gonna watch that piece of hollywood s**te again.

Fair point but would you rather the Michael Bay Alternative. Where he replaces Frodo with Corey, a mild mannered adolesent misfit who is struggling through hobbit school. At a hobbit beach party Corey could find the ring(With engraved Nike tick) during an elaborate yet misguided stunt to get the hobbit of his dreams (Played by talentless Hollywood slut A) to notice him. This leads to the adventure of a lifetime where Corey and a ragtag bunch of adventurers must travel to Mordor armed only with their wits, pop cuture references and an bottomnal of military grade weaponary.
2 hours of explosions and car chases then a little bit of the O.C. then a big f**k off plane crash, then a giant robotic testicle and then er.. and then a car chase but with cars made out of cheese and then a bit more O.C.

What were we talking about again?
TBH thats sounds a hell of a lot better than Jacksons film. At least something would happen. Sure Bay ain't the most talented filmmaker but what did you expect from a film with giant robots. None of the old cartoons or the 1987 film had a great plot. Enjoy them for what they are, mindless action flicks. And thats all Bay can really churn out.
Maybe Kevin Smith should have done the LOTR trilogy with Jason Mewes as Frodo. Any other cast suggestions?
Back on the game, was that Omega Supreme i saw in the background in the last few seconds?
