Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 detailed

Another big reveal from the Video Game Awards
LucasArts is bringing a sequel to the pretty decent Star Wars action romp, The Force Unleashed. Catch the trailer below. Very good, it is.

This has definately shot upto my most wanted game of 2010, the first game was so much fun and the sequel can only be twice as much fun Smile

The only thing that could make this even better is if they announced MP in the same form as JK jedi academy MP.

I'm actually a little disapointed, I was hoping for battlefront 3, or another kotor, but oh well, I just hope those two franchises haven't been forgotten.
Athrun888 on 13 Dec '09
although I am well looking foward tothis as I loved the first one they well need to revive battlefront 3 and use all the same bmechanics as this! but obviously a little dumbed downlike keep alll the physics and stuff obviously but make the Jedis/siths not as powerful otherwise youd just pwn EVERYTHING!! Very Happy

Hoping for BF3, but if they can do a major Assassin's Creed 2 style flaw fixing then I'm in.

looks sweet, loved the first, bring it!

I put down the first one in disgust after making it to the second chapter thanks to the highly unfriendly user controls and save points that belong back in the dead and buried 1980's. There's no excuse for saving points on modern consoles. The camera angle controls stunk on the Xbox 360 and resulted in many mis-timed jumps followed by deaths and respawning at the start of the same level that you were just half-way through. An archaic and outdated system that should never see the light of day again, IMO.

I love the Star Wars universe (post-Clone Wars) and I've noticed that there is now a PC version of "The Force Unleashed: Sith Edition". I've been tempted to buy it since I think I'll find the camera angles easier to control on my PC than on my Xbox 360, but it would mean buying the same game twice which I'm disinclined to do. If this sequel makes it to the PC I may consider it, or if the reviews show the developers have greatly improved the save system and camera controls on the console version.

The big question is that at the end of the 1st game The Apprentice is killed by Palpatine, so how is it possible.

Confused I am.

I'll get this game.
Darth_Raiden on 13 Dec '09
@Darth_Raiden Well technically the Apprentice died during the game as well and was brought back to life, so I guess they could just do the same as what they did then.

Go and play Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy on PC. That's how you do a Jedi game. If this is like FU1, then it'll just be lacklustre combat between cool cutscenes. Please let it be more than that.

Oh, and no QTE!

I heartily agree!

I was really looking forward to the first one, till i played it. Rubbish controls and rubbish camera angles ruined this - i really wanted to be able to use force powers and hoped that the force would be as much fun to use as your mental powers were in psi-ops back in the day - now that did work and was cool - but FU was complete cack......

and having the guy who played doomsday in smallville as the apprentice also sucks, he was even worse in this that smallville

The force unleashed was the buggiest console game ive ever played. Nearly every Boss fight had a game breaking bug. One didnt have a health bar, one actually disappeared mid fight!, one got stuck in an unbeatable attack loop and playing through the whole game was a chore. I cant believe that game was ever released in such a state
runadumb on 14 Dec '09
No clue what game you guys were playing, but i found the controls and camera fine, and i had no bugs in my multiple playthroughs.

To each his own i guess, im one of those who didnt care for the BF series it just wasnt my cuppa tea as they say, but i would love a 3rd kotor.
