New STALKER: Call of Pripyat shots

Fresh screenshots from the third instalment
A fresh batch of STALKER: Call of Pripyat shots screenshots have just been unleashed, with some fresh glimpses of the third instalment of GSC's survival FPS.

Call of Pripyat is set after the events of the acclaimed STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (have we ever typed so many full-stops in a sentence?) and following the discovery of an open path to the Zone centre, the government decides to send in an airborne helicopter survey to path find a mission to take the CNPP under control.

But when the helicopters mysteriously fall out of the sky, the Ukranian Security Service dispatch a new agent (that's you that is), to discover just what's going on.

Boasting a new exclusion zone, featuring Yanov railway station, Jupiter factory and Pripyat town, plus a new story, unique characters, a new sleep function and extended side quests, Call of Pripyat should be a welcome new challenge for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans when it debuts in February.

In the meantime, enjoy the latest batch of screens.

You are not alone; it looks like CVG left out the "."s. Anyway, the first two games were so incredibly bug ridden that they might as well have been a natural extension of the Soviet Union's lack of quality control (despite the developers being based in Ukraine). I really want this game to be great, I really do, so fellas - if you happen to read this - please pull it together this time.
