Konami's PES team has opened a fan survey asking you to rate different parts of the game and list the features most important for next year's version, PES 2011.
Producer Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka explained, "We're about to start that process all over again with the release of an online questionnaire. Remember the more useful info we can get from you, the better PES will become. Anything that can't be included into the next version will be considered for future versions.

I wouldn't listen to the fans because they think the game is "perfect" as it is.
If they had any sense they'd look at the reviews, listen to some neutral players of the game and most importantly look at FIFA and see why it's more successful. Licensing and more realistic gameplay spring to mind.
Then again if they are asking this now and not 3-4 years ago when they should have then I don't hold out much hope for them.
why to expect a giant step from konami to be more realistic like fifa, if ea can make half of the work they've done from last year, fifa will be the perfection.

Agree with that, apart from the licensing part. It's pretty much impossible for Konami to get hold of club licenses due to EA's greater pool of money and them being in bed with FIFA.
There is a possible legal challenge to EA's stranglehold on the NFL in the US mounting, so if that succeeds, one can hope Konami will be able to challenge for the FIFA license one day.
But until they sort out the gameplay and presentation of PES, I'd rather EA kept the FIFA license.
They say this every single year and yet none of the main issues with the game are fixed. Either the "fans" arent raising these issues or Konami are ignoring them...and I can think I can work out which one of the above it is.
Surprise, surprise... the usual crap from FIFA fans. Some of us happen to think Pro Evo, even at it's worst in past editions has always remained far superior to FIFA. "be more like FIFA"... some gamers really are dumb as sh*t. When developers bring out a game similar to another, the first comments on forums are about how one game copied another. When a game actually remains a little different you read "be like so-and-so". And that's probably why some people do jobs where they don't have to think, be creative or solve problems. I call them FIFA fans!

Yep, and you're all delusional (joke)! I was a massive PES fan, but I switched for FIFA 09.
Until FIFA 10, PES was better gameplay wise, but now I'd say FIFA has it beat in that area too IMO. If Konami can get the gameplay and online up to scratch, I'll be interested again.
I'd also like both series to try and capture the atmosphere and presentation of football properly. When playing massive derby games, I'd like to see some Ford Super Sunday style build-up. If you win a trophy, have some suitable celebrations and the commentary reflect that you are the holders.
got to say pro evo lost me to Fifa 09 too. the Pes the year before was terrible and the support of the product afterwards (i.e. to fix a broken game) was non-existent. It made me realise that the companies don't deserve my loyalty to a franchise. The best game of the year should be bought regardless of who made it.
I'm tired of the scripted play. You can tell when the opposition is going to score because you can't get near them.
I played a pro evo round my mates on a PS2 the other day. I remembered how much fun it can be playing a footy game. All types of goals were going in, etc. How has the gameplay and variety gone backwards?
I've not bought a footy game this year - not sure if it's because pompey are having such little success in the points department or if I'm a little disillusioned by the yearly updates?

Well then my first comment has truth to it then. If you haven't noticed the steady decline of PES and the rise of FIFA then you've been living in 2006 for the last 4 years.

I've played nearly every FIFA and PES and have played both for the most recent 6 or so years. PES became my clear favourite for gameplay in the middle part of this decade (end of PS2 era). The difference is that when the next-gen came FIFA ran at full speed towards it and PES jogged along, stumbled and dived claiming FIFA did them some wrong.
Copying things from games and learning from others is no bad thing. FIFA clearly took inspiration from PES of old, but then went and improved it. They focused on trying to improve the gameplay, focusing on player movement and animations. PES on the other hand firmly stood its ground believing it to be the best without offering many improvements (animations clearly weren't that updated). When FIFA became more like PES, PES fans went up in arms claiming they were just copying. Now that it is better, reviews and sales back this up, PES fans are still up in arms claiming that theirs is better or saying PES 6 (a game from years ago) is better. That's like claiming Sensible Soccer is the best football game. It may be fun, but it sure as hell wasn't that realistic.
And that's probably why some people do jobs where they don't have to think, be creative or solve problems. I call them FIFA fans!
I'm a programmer and games one at that. So I have to think, be creative and solve problems. While I prefer the better game when available, I'm currently a FIFA fan!
PES isn't perfect, but at least it actually works. *cough* FIFA 10's massive list of bugs *cough*
All they need to do is tighten up the gameplay and get rid of the scouting thing in Master League, and go back to negotiating fully with players yourself, and it'll be fine.
EA on the other hand, need to focus on making a playable Manager Mode that doesn't sell your players without permission now that the actual gameplay is sorted.
