Brand new Final Fantasy XIII trailer

Japanese TV spot laden with new FF goodness...
There's a lot of advantages in living over in the Land of the Rising Sun, probably too many to list here, but one major gaming bonus is getting your hands on Final Fantasy XIII this very month, in just six short days time on December 17th.

Right on time, Square-Enix have just (sort of) unleashed a new FFXIII trailer in the form of the Japanese TV trailer, choc full of those gorgeous cutscenes that'll have FF fans considering a rummage in their pants. Here it is, for your delectation:

Unfortunately it's going to be March before get our sweaty paws on it over here in Europe, but in the meantime, sit back, relax, hoover up the trailer and indulge yourselves in the Final Fantasy XIII delights to come.

I don't think we really need to see ANOTHER trailer, do we? We just want the game. Now.

On another note, the Japanese theme song is so much more suited to the game than that rather generic Leona Lewis song. Seriously, whose idea was it to use "My Hands"? Or indeed, anything by Leona Lewis. Someone's got some 'splainin' to do.

I look forward to the European release of this however, I could not disagree more with the previous comment that the sappy, lounge jazz musac (yes, "musac" as in the music that's played in elevators) is fitting for this video. Perhaps it is a matter of cultural taste yet I often find the Japanese choice of theme music both puzzling and ill fitting where it pertains to games and cartoons. There are exceptions; sadly this TV ad's music is not one of them.
