This week's Nintendo Downloads

What's new on WiiWare, VC and DSiWare
Here's this week's selection of new Nintendo downloads and while there's nothing earth-shatteringly exciting to download this week, Alex Kidd fans might want to check out his last ever game and the Monkey Island saga continues with The Trial and Execution of Guy Threepwood. Here's the full release...

WiiWare - Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 4: The Trial and Execution of Guy Threepwood (TellTale Games, 1,000 Wii Points)
Guybrush returns to Flotsam Island, but forget about a hero's welcome. He is seized by an angry mob and put on trial, after being handed over to De Singe by the backstabbing Morgan LeFlay. Guybrush must figure out how to defend himself against the grave accusations put to him by a silk-tongued prosecutor. Meanwhile, the determined Marquis sets his sights on a new and far more attractive test subject.

How on earth will the Mighty Pirate get out of this mess? The monthly Tales of Monkey Island tension continues to mount in "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood." Brace yourself for a shocking revelation that will rock the world of Monkey Island to its core...

WiiWare - Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH (Two Tribes Publishing, 600 Wii Points)
Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH is a 3D puzzle game with more than 70 challenging levels. Players need to guide Cubes to colour coded exit points. Using the Wii Remote's intuitive controls, herd the coloured cubes along by using Conveyer Belts, Warps, Stop Signs, Directional Signs and Splits.

RUSH also includes the original Rubik's Cube as a bonus. Players can attempt to solve one of the four different size Cubes alone or against another player. Keep tabs on your scores by regularly checking the online leader board.

WiiWare - Pallurikio (Playstos Entertainment, 1000 Wii Points)
Jump and roll with Pallurikio, a fast-paced action platformer, easy to pick up, yet challenging to master.

While playing a mysterious board game he found with his friends, Rusty is sucked up in a dimensional vortex and finds himself cast into a mystical and wondrous world, where he assumes the aspect of the round and bouncing Pallurikio.

Using the Wii Remote to point at the screen, make Pallurikio jump and roll. Help him find his way through more than 50 enticing levels, while surviving all kinds of pitfalls and trickeries. Enjoy traversing Bakumbala Jungle, the far reaches of Palluro Prime and many other weird settings.

Featuring physics simulation, Time Attack mode, collectable cards, and space rockets to boot, Pallurikio is a game on which you won't want to miss out.

VIRTUAL CONSOLE - Alex Kidd in Shinobi World (SEGA MASTER SYSTEM, 500 Wii Points)
What do you get when you combine the two monumental SEGA classics Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Shinobi? Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, of course!

Never released in Japan, this game has it all: Alex Kidd, a damsel in distress, an evil Dark Ninja and - of course - a rockin' remixed Shinobi soundtrack! Run, jump, swim and slash your way through twelve stages, teeming with monstrous foes from the world of Shinobi and some more lighthearted ones from Alex Kidd. Just don't let the Barracudas turn you into sushi!

NINTENDO DSiWare - PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff (Nintendo, 500 Nintendo DSi Points)

Engage in an aristocratic battle of wits in PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff, a classic-style game of strategy and deception.

Win points by adding or removing coloured coins from the table, and trying to guess which colour belongs to your opponent. Call an opponent's bluff for a chance to earn bonus points, or risk giving them an extra point if you're wrong! Add Trick Cards into the mix for a cunning combination of tactics and trickery.

Compete against a variety of computer opponents in Tournament and Free Play Modes, or challenge up to three friends in Multiplayer Mode using DS Wireless Communications (only one PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff is required for DS Download Play).

NINTENDO DSiWare - Hell's Kitchen Vs. (Ludia, 800 Nintendo DSi Points)
Hell's Kitchen Vs. recreates the show's pressure-cooker atmosphere as two players battle head-to-head in an arcade-style kitchen challenge. Try to conquer your opponent in each time management test, while and taking the heat of legendary chef Gordon Ramsay judging and rating your performance at every stage of the game.

Please note that elements of this software may have been featured in previously released software.

Just out of interest, but what does 1000 Wii points translate to in terms of real money? GBP?

Always been put off by the whole 'points instead of pounds' thing. Not sure why, just seems unnecessary.
