Grab the Hunter pack and you get the code as well as a facehugger figurine, a Weyland Yutani sleeve badge and a 3D lenticular postcard.
If you're up on recent news, you'll know that Sega's sci-fi shooter was banned in Australia, much to the "disappointment" of Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley who said the developer "will not be releasing a sanitized or cut down version for territories where adults are not considered by their governments to be able to make their own entertainment choices."
Nice my birthday is on the 18th so if I order from Game will be with me on my Birthday gonna be looking out for the postman birthday presents dont get much better than this even if I do buy it for myself
I wouldda gone fot the survivor edition normally, but the facehugger figurine is kinda tempting me to spend stupid money on the best pack........hmmm......then I remind myself of how much I love the alien franchise and am sold
I'm in the same boat as Mark on this one. I was initially very interested in this title (had it pre-ordered), but in light of the craptacular outing that is "Rogue Warrior" that was also developed by "Rebellion" I'm going to wait until the reviews are out. The PC price for "AVP" is also low (which I don't mind) but that is often (though not always) an indication of a lackluster game when it has the kind of profile this one has.

You've been quite pleasant to me, recently. Should I be worried, or has the Xmas cheer kicked in?

Not that I'm complaining.
Hehehe! Tis' the season to be jolly and what not.
Despite some of our less amicable differences of opinion in the past, I don't actually bear you any ill will, Mark.
I've noticed that after taking a mini-vacation a month back or so, that I've destressed considerably in all parts of my life. It feels fantastic (and with my fisherman's beard growing daily I feel like the biblical Samson! Now reintroducing a bit of testosterone into a workplace that is unbalanced by just a bit too much estrogen, IMO).

I've always fancied a good beard, but the missus won't allow it. I'm not sure of the style - though an extension of the usual friday morning stubble would suffice.
As for a vacation, I need one desperately. My 10 month old girl is turning me into a wreck!

Ah yes! The fairer sex - you have my sympathies. Since I'm currently a bachelor again I do not have to be considerate of a "better half". I do like being clean shaven as well yet I enjoy mixing things up once in a while regarindg my appearance.
Speaking of vacation, not long to go now! Although I can only imagine the exhaustion you and your missus are experiencing with a newborn. I do like the thought of having children at some point, yet when I recall one of my cousins recounting how he and his wife were more or less sleep deprived for the first five years of their first child's life (nevermind the second younger one), it does give pause. I generally like my private life and I'm not sure I want to rush in to starting a family when it's not even in the cards at present. I like to think that once it happens it seems natural to change one's personal lifestyle (for some people at any rate, sadly not all it seems). Was it hard for you to adjust?
Alright ladies, chill out on the man-love! You know where you are? This is AVP news - ultraviolent, ultra scary - MAN BOARDS! RAWR.
Anyhow xD Sweet, we'll see what my wallet says before I consider any, although the Survivor edition sounds pleasant and probably only a bit more than the vanilla version.
Gotta say this game is looking fantastic, seems like Rebellion have gone back to their roots and just refined everything and that will REALLY pay off if they get it right!

I have defied the other half on several ocassions but she just moans about it until I remove the damn thing... Now I just maintain my stubble at a length just long enough to annoy.
You ain't the boss of me love!
Your little un is 10 months old Mark? I remember commenting on the boards ages ago when she was just about due... time flies huh. Mine is 13 months old and is in absolutely EVERYTHING. God love her though, she is a little star.

I thought "Rogue Warrior" was developed by Bethesda, published by Zenimax. This game looks pretty good and now it's out in late February I can justify the purchase as a birthday treat
Just checked, there was a game titled "Rogue Trooper" developed by Rebellion, which was released April 2006 on PS2 and Xbox. There was a version released on the Wii early this year but that was adapted by a different studio.

Damn! what is it with the beard love? I prefer good old fashioned man stubble, but then again thats just down to lazziness!
shouldnt they be releasing a demo pretty soon then??
on the beard subject, i occasionally have them, theyre accidental tho (ie havent been bottomd to shave), been told they suit me tho and i should keep it, i maybe will one day

It is strangely natural. I loved my free time as much as the next man, but once you have a child, you'll wonder what you did with all that time. I probably spent far too much time playing video games, if that's possible.
Now she goes to bed at 7 oclock and doesn't (usually) wake until 7 the next morning, which is great. What is even better is that the missus has started working a few nights during the week, so I have my 'me-time'* back.

Time does fly when your wiping bum!
Sure, the little 'uns can be a pain in the backside, but I wouldn't change it for the world. She's ace.
I'd like to ask you if she is walking yet, but I think I'd probably get a lashing from the AvP fans.
I'm much more interested in Colonial Marines than this one. Tense group firefights in confined spaces, strategic advances and retreats. That one has "awesome" written all over it. If it ever gets made, of course.
I might get this one if the reviews say it's fantastic and I have money to burn (ha!), but I wouldn't be going over the standard box.

Close. Bethesda published "Rogue Warrior" which was developed by Rebellion. Zenimax owns Bethesda.
Rebellion apparently also developed "Shellshock 2"....

*Playing video games and watching movies.
And eating many crisps.
You're living like a king once more then!
@Dajmin: Aye, I'd like to see what "Colonial Marines" has to offer (if it ever sees the light of day). The reviews for "AVP" will make or break "AVP" for me this time around. It's already going for a cheap price for the PC version, yet if the reviews bomb that price will drop within a couple of weeks.
I would like to get the survivor edition, but I'll wait for reviews before making my mind up. Rebellion have to bring this up to par, or it'll be next year's haze in terms of hype and reviews.

Yeah, guess I had better get a 'OMG a freakin' posable facehugger? A FRICKIN' FACEHUGGER??? Man, now it's Hunter edition all the way, damn my magpie tendancies!' in there, keep the thread on topic just a little...
Back to babies and beards though... Yes she is walking, and running a bit, and faceplanting a lot (usually on purpose into the sofa). She climbs up on the sofa too, usually with book in hand which is then thrust in your face until it is read. A million times. I know the Hungry Caterpillar off by heart!

LOL. Loaded with the cold at the mo but this made me laugh as my nephew does the exact same faceplanting thing with the sofa so cheers for that! Back to the topic I watched a trailer for this game and I remember how good AVP2 was on the PC so looking forward to this one. Just hope they don't mess it up!
