Sony's social networking app, Home, is a year old this month and it's celebrating with a load of free content including personal spaces, hats and other goods.
For a limited time, you'll be able to nab the Tree House or MotorStorm Pacific Rift Camp spaces free of charge. Sony's also marking the festive season by opening a new Winter Wonderland space.
"This space will evolve over time as you help Santa's bumbling elves complete the festive decorations. Make sure to visit Santa in his grotto regularly so you don't miss out on any of the mini-games. Finally, being the festive season, you'll also find plenty of gifts and other rewards that will make this space somewhere to visit daily," it explains.

I went on again the other night to see if there was anything different. it is still as dullas ever and probably one of the biggest waste of my personal time ever. i know it's free but i just dont get it. wondering around talking to strangers and queing up for very limited mini games.
Its been a year already? I don't use it that much. But now and then its kinda fun to wander around and see what people are up to and check the new stuff out. For free its kinda fun.
What I find odd is that these stories always have comments from snooker cues (yes, you're snooker cues) who say that Home sucks ass and they never want to log in again. Fine, don't log in again, but don't go on stories announcing stuff for Home, you buffoons! If you're just going to complain about something that A) isn't mandatory and B) is just something Sony are trying out, then you must have a pretty worthless life.
I think people miss the point. You don't have to use Home and even if you do it's free.
Even if you don't like or use Home, the hundreds of thousands of people that do aren't less important then you.
Lastly, Sony have spent more money, blood, sweat and tears giving their consumers new IPs and old fvourites. so even if you don't like what they release don't bash them for it because the alternative is that they spend the money on buying exclusives instead and shutting down first party studios.
I slag-off home...because it has the potential to be something really useful. In reality it's an over glorified chat room.
I would be interested in going back to Home if they banned the French, Dutch, Belgian, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Danish users.
When you come into my Home...YOU SPEAK ENGLISH rant over!
