Japanese Modern Warfare 2 is censored

Game Over screens issued for civilian kills in controversial airport mission
The 'No Russian' mission in the Japanese version of Modern Warfare 2 should be renamed 'No Killing', because that's exactly what it lets you do.

Apparently, the censored version of the game will issue you with a swift Game Over screen should you actually kill any civilians during the opening scenes of the controversial airport mission. In the western versions of the game you're free to choose whether or not you wish to join your terrorist colleagues in the shootout.

Ironically, dialogue in the elevator leading to the mission says "Remember, no Russian," literally meaning not to speak in the Russian tongue, whereas the Japanese translation has been altered to say "Kill em, the Russians", according to Kotaku.

So if you do what the game literally tells you to do, you get Game Over. That makes complete sense. Yup.

Laughing Get a life.

It's no wonder people aren't buying these games out there when they're constantly being censored.

Pretty ironic considering the number of civilians they killed in WWII.

Touched a nerve, has it?
