Sweet screen-filling bullet swarms of ultimate death are what make these new screenshots of Soldner-X2 Final Prototype big winners in our eyes.
We're now officially excited about eastasiasoft's PSN-exclusive shoot-em-up, which was supposedly due for a winter 2009/2010 release. So it should be out any time now, hopefully. Bring it on.
In the meantime feast your mince pies over these latest pics, sure to bring a warm Christmassy glow to even the most hardened of shmup' fans hearts.
With Thunder Force 4 being one of my favorite games of all time, I was excited by the prospect of the first Soldner x title on PSN.
I bought it and truely hated it as I got all Hulk and passed out with fustration. Way too hard, even on easy, filled with extremely fustrating levels designed to specifically break joypads. Nice soundtrack though.
I hope they tone the difficulty down, but will keep a check on reviews.
I was excited about the original Soldner-X, the excitement was only matched by the disappointment as I realised it was s**t.
Still nothing to touch RType Final unfortunatly, although I'll probably end up buying this cos I'm a sucker who doesn't learn from his mistakes.
Damn right it was s**te, if PSN had offered a demo for it i wouldn't have wasted Ł4.99 or whatever it cost. Possibly the worst PSN/Live title i've ever bought, 2nd one will defo be getting sidestepped.
If they sort out the frankly ridiculous difficulty of the first one then I might think about getting this (though it had plenty of other faults as well). Seriously, getting past the first level was an achievement in itself.
Loved the first game. Not sure what the fuss is all about with regards to difficulty - its no more difficult than any other game of this genre. Hope the second is as good, and has Raphael Dyll on the soundtrack again.
