The Horrors have been named NME's Album Of 2009 for their second record, 'Primary Colours'.

The band topped our annual writers' poll, pipping the likes of The XX, Animal Collective and Grizzly Bear, who all make this year's Top 10.

In NME's Tracks Of 2009, it's Yeah Yeah Yeahs who take the honours, with 'Zero' claiming the Number One spot.

Sorry to piss on your parade and everything but the Horrors are SHITE and always have been. The only reason everyone pretends to like them now is because Geoff Barrow produced their album and people are just trying to look cool by association by claiming that they like it when in reality it sounds like a bunch of musically illiterate 16 year olds farting about. God I hate these floppy haired try-hard poshos.

I knew it! I've been saying it since May that "Primary Colours" is the album of the year. There aren't many albums this year that are fresh, exciting and good. And this is by far the best of 2009. I am hoping for the shoe-gazer genre revival...

The horror's and the yeah yeah yeah's are both shite mate, this is coming from a 16yr old aha. Arctic monkeys should be higher up, in bothh, cornerstone is one of the best tunes of 09'
