Food delivery man robbed at gunpoint in Evanston
The robbery
happened about ten minutes after midnight on the 1800 block of Hovland
Court on Thursday morning, according to Evanston police. The delivery
man told police that while making a delivery he was approached by
three masked men who demanded his money, hit him in the face, took his
food, cell phone and cash and fled on foot.

A man caught breaking into a Jeep Cherokee on the North Side had an
apparently self-written "how to" guide with him, police said. Some of the "tips" in the guide found with Derrick Barringer, 29,
police said, included "Keep looking around for five seconds."
