Fans of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves are in for an extra treat tomorrow with the release of new DLC which was hinted at earlier in the week, plus a double cash weekend.
In what looks like another Thanksgiving treat (sadly no pre-Xmas Turkey for us over here in Britland) for Drake fans, the new DLC will take the form of a new multiplayer level called The Fort, which is based on the original Fortress level of Drake's Fortune.

Naughty Dog describes The Fort as a "long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes". Look out for a tunnel-laden basement, a boomstick in the centre of the map and for rocketeers, a handy RPG stashed in the crypt. Check the video fly-through below.
Still the goodies don't end there. It being Thanksgiving and all, you can expect all the characters to be suffering from an excess of festive cheer, having tucked into a few too many helpings of turkey, plus green bean and sweet potato casseroles. Basically, join a game on Thanksgiving weekend and the characters will be fat.
Naughty Dog also says of the Double Cash weekend: "We also flipped a few switches and bits here and there and not only is Double Cash weekend back, but you'll be getting 2x the cash from any and all medals you are awarded during the course of a competitive or cooperative match. The per-match limits of $50,000 are still in effect, so if you're just that good, you'll be maxing out just about all the time."

From the way I read it, yes it sounds like it'll land on the US playstation store tomorrow which must mean it'll miss todays update in the UK. It was the same with the dlc for Borderlands last week. I will just pop over to my american account and download it tomorrow rather than wait.
Looks like it for now, though it'll surely make it's way over here at some stage. Tis a brilliant idea, just a shame they aren't releasing a coop mission for the map as well. That'd be sweeeeeet.
us brits will be getting this too CVG is just upset we dont get to have any pre christmas turkey like the yanks get for thanks giving, but dont worry i'll go slaugther one now and sent it first class to CVG towers, gobble gobble.

Looking at NaughtyDogs twitter the new "The Fort" map available Friday for free! the uk store has updated friday for some games so fingers crossed.
