2K Games has sent word that the first Borderlands DLC pack, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, has gone live on XBM and PSN costing 800 MS Points (around £6.80) or £6.29 respectively, and we've got a bunch of new screenshots below.
In what it says it "the first in a series" of add-ons, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned adds new loot, quests... and zombies.

"Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned (who is not related to Dr. Zed from Fyrestone) does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region," says Gearbox.
"Players will have to work alongside Dr. Ned as they embark on a quest to cure the inhabitants of Jakobs Cove in this full-fledged expansion filled with new enemies, new quests and rare loot drops."
There's still no word on a date for the PC version.
this download stuff is becoming a joke. this must have been ready on release and they could have it on the disc. Wait a few weeks and release it for an extra 6 or 7 quid. It’s like the last map packs for world at war. One map ok I can live with, but 3!!!! This is all a total rip in my books. Rant over.
Yup, as a few people are posting on Gearbox's forums.
We wont get the DLC until 26th November, tomorrow, because of Sony only updating once a bloody week!
Yet US get it yesterday and Xbox Live in the UK got it yesterday as well
Maybe if Sony did do a paid for PSN, it might actually get updated more often!
i may totally be wrong here but I thought live was updated every wed while psn is thurs, only once a week for each.
anyways I'm playing this game right now on the PC and I'm loving it. It has a few really annoying things abt it (non-existent story, AI and some weird sound probs) but they dont spoil the core gameplay. Prob the only game where I'm doing every single side quest which is kind of a bad thing though as im now 5 levels ahead of all the enemies in the story missions, making it a little too easy.
It would have been cool if they has more skills for each character as an attacking bird kind of gets boring.

That's how I feel about it too. In another example, I recently purchased the "Warden's Keep" DLC for "Dragon Age: Origins". It took the better part of a week to get it to download and it only worked because I did a manual download following instructions from a fellow poster who knew what he was doing. I have yet to hear back from tech support. Disgraceful.
The only reason I'm not fully up in arms over the price I paid for the DLC given it's brevity, is due to the fact that I'm extremely pleased with "Dragon Age: Origins" as a game over all. Still, future DLC shoudn't expect the same lenient treatment providing it's of a similar length, at a similar price.
