The French arm of Amazon has slapped up a listing for a Special Edition - or "Edition Spéciale" with that French flair - version of Gran Turismo 5, reigniting rumours of a premium bundle on the way from Polyphony.
The listing prices the bumper pack at €74.95 - a slight price hike over its separate listing for the expected normal version, which is up for €65.99. Both are listed for a March 31 release.

Couple this with a previous glimpse of what appeared to be a three-disc version of the game, in the hands of series creator Kazunori Yamauchi himself, and it would seem likely the team has something special planned.
If it's a 'making of' included in the special edition, then surely there should be at least 10 Blu-ray's worth of footage, for the amount of time this has been in development.
"The making of GT5" has broken the guiness world record for the longest documentary ever.
and the most boring apparently. i'll probably be the lone ps3 owner who won't be buying this game. or worse i'll buy it because it looks gorgeous and in the vain hope it won't be as dull as the last versions. i'm a sucker for the visuals.

You may not be. I'll decide based on reviews AND opinion once it's released. Not going to make the same mistake I did for MW2...
I have the Prologue game, because it was part of the PS3 bundle. I doubt I'll get this, I don't think it's changed in 12 years. We'll see come launch, and the reviews.
Just got to level 50 on Forza 3. Loved the driving but it felt a bit like going off a cliff in terms of gameplay. The most interesting bit was trying the 100k drift challenge. Always been a bit of a GT whore though from number 1 onwards and will buy the new one but hope they don't rely on shiny cars and hundreds of tracks. Forza made those boasts but it felt like there were only a dozen or so really individual courses. Also, I was really looking forward to driving a Veyron but that sort of got lost in the mix because it's only really good for one or two race types and not as quick (in racing terms) as the proper race cars. Hope GT has plenty of challenges and is not just fur coat and no knickers. Still love Forza but after 3 weeks gameplay it's got a bit 'meh'
Back on topic I bet this will be fantastic, I'm sure after all this time PD won't let us down. They know how much people are begging for this and how much weight they carry on their shoulders over this game. I bet GT5 will be simply amazing.

When you pause the video it does look more like 1 disc case and 2 books rather than 3 cases.
