The Experience is designed to educate visitors about real ale and give them a chance to sample some of Britain's best real ales with the experts!

CAMRA will also have a stand at the event, giving visitors the opportunity to find out more about our campaigning, our range of books and also give them the opportunity to sign up as a member and sample some beer.

Richard Frost - Head Brewer at Banks's

Richard's brewing career started in 1978 with a two-year spell at Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries where he donned overalls and trained on every job from malt production through to delivering beer on the drays.

He joined Tolly Cobbold in Ipswich for a short spell before moving back to W&DB at Banks's Brewery, Wolverhampton where he worked in a number of brewing and packaging roles.

In 1998 Richard moved to the North East to become Site Manager at Camerons Brewery, Hartlepool, brewing Strongarm and a range of lagers.

Following the sale of Camerons Richard returned to Wolverhampton to manage a restructuring of the Marston's production and distribution operations. He was appointed Head Brewer in 2001 and is also responsible for checking that all the group's beers are dispensed in perfect condition in over 7,000 pubs - a part of the job he never tires of!

Jeremy Pettman - Head Brewer at Jennings

Jeremy's career in brewing began 29 years ago when he joined Whitbread Exchange Brewery in Sheffield. After 5 years in Quality Assurance he moved around the North of England in several brewing and packaging positions before returning to Sheffield as a Shift Brewer.

Following the closure of the Exchange Jeremy moved to Robert Cains of Liverpool as Assistant Brewing Manager. Seven years later Jeremy got his 'dream move' to Jennings where he became Second Brewer. This enabled him to combine his two great passions of brewing traditional cask ales and walking the Cumbrian Mountains. Jeremy became Head Brewer two years ago.

Emma Gilleland - Head Brewer at Marstons

After four years at Sheffield Hallam University, one of which was spent at Marston's, Emma joined Marston's as a Bottling Shift Manager in 1994.

Two years later she became a Shift Brewer before moving into Conditioning and Filtration prior to taking maternity leave with her first child.

Returning as Bottling Manager, Emma quickly moved on to becoming Group Packaging Manager responsible for all group bottling and canning requirements.

Five years and a second child later Emma became Site Production Manager and in 2007 Head Brewer where she is responsible for all Brewing and Packaging operations at the Marston's Burton on Trent site.

Jeff Drew - Head Brewer at Wychwood and Ringwood

1979 was the start of Jeff's career in brewing, in the Quality Assurance Department of Whitbread Luton. A spell in R&D saw him develop some notable beers such as Whitbread Best and White Label.

A move to Whitbread, Magor saw Jeff moving to the "dark side" brewing predominantly lager. Fortunately for Jeff the light came back on fairly quickly when he moved to Morlands in Abingdon brewing Old Speckled Hen and Ruddles County.

Following the closure of Morlands, Jeff became Second Brewer at Brakspear in Henley-on-Thames.

In 2002 came Jeff's ultimate move, Trade Quality Brewer with Ringwood - visiting pubs and tasting beers, and getting paid for it! Two years later Jeff became Head Brewer.
