Crackdown 2 screens explosion

70 screenshots, renders and pieces of artwork from Microsoft
Microsoft's just pressed the big red deploy button on 70 pieces of Crackdown 2 artwork, renders and screenshots, which you can start browsing below.

The sequel, which is due on Xbox 360 in 2010, features the same city as the first game only with a new zombie-like infection spreading through the streets, turning tramps into high-jumping mutants. Obviously it's now up to you and your super policing powers to sort the mess out.

Definitely creeping up my watch list, this one. Loved the first one (after not getting it at first).

But you know there's going to be a totally mental Horde/Survival mode in co-op. Being able to chase each other around the entire landscape, bouncing off buildings, mowing them down with cars - would be awesome.

I hope the cool commentator is back though - his sarcastic comments always made me smile Smile

The first Crackdown was a blast (well done Dave Jones & Co.) and almost up there with Rockstar's masterpiece. However, zombies may sound like fun, but the same city?? Hmmm...

An expanded city or perhaps a new environment after all this waiting would have certainly floated my boat.

Oh well, the game is certainly fun and it had great replay value. In my 'yoof' days, I loved Williams' NARC game in the arcades, and Crackdown, to me personally, is the perfect 3D NARC...
