MS declines to comment on PGR 5 report

Platform holder gives us its official line...
Microsoft has responded to this morning's report on Project Gotham Racing 5, telling CVG: "Microsoft do not comment on rumour or speculation."

The racing sequel was seemingly outed this morning when car manufacturer, Tesla Motors mentioned the game on its official blog.

"A team of sound engineers from Microsoft Game Studios (some working on Forza, some on Project Gotham Racing) asked if I was willing to take my Roadster to a track so they could record a variety of sounds," it said.

It's probably real, isn't it?

so they are making a forza sequel ALREADY?!

probably just the forza team thats doing the new PGR.

some viral leak.

MS would have told them to keep quiet if they never wanted this out there.

No they aren't working on a sequel. The Tesla Roadster will end up in a DLC package, which is why the Forza team were there.

they werent recording engine noises, the tesla doesnt have an engine, its battery powered.

they were using it to record tyre skids/squeals without a big petrol engine interfering.

PGR will need a major upgrade and change to get my attention. I didn't even bother with 4 so unless there is something really new added to the series I'll probably pass.

PGR4 was great. The weather was a really good dynamic to the way you approach racing around particular tracks (Nordschleffe 1 in the snow!) and the graphics were superb. Not so sure about the whole "season play" type thing for an arcade racer - that works better in Forza. But the normal PGR-style arcade progression is in there too.

The less said about the bikes the better.

I actually thought you were talking about PGR5 being DLC for Forza 3 Confused

Actually - if Turn10 are indeed going to develop this....why not, I guess?
