Left 4 Dead 2 DLC teased?

Valve 'Midnight Riders' teaser website goes live
A mysterious Valve teaser website has gone live, sparking speculation that it could be hinting at the sequel's upcoming DLC.

The website in question features an image of the 'Midnight Riders', a band who feature in the zombie sequel, alongside the text 'coming soon'. That sounds like a teaser to us...

Seeming as the game's already out in North America (and arrives in the UK this Friday) it's unlikely that Valve's simply set up a viral campaign for Left 4 Dead 2's release; It's probably teasing something else. Whether that something else is DLC, we suppose we'll find out "soon".

We'll contact Valve for comment on this.

Read our Left 4 Dead 2 review if you haven't already.

I think it would be wise to treat Valve's promises of DLC with a pinch of salt, at least until they have something concrete to show.

What, like, the way that they have supplied 2 DLC packs for L4D, and said they will continue to work on DLC for it?

I, at last, got my brother to play the demo of the game with me this morning (he downloaded it with the code to play it early and he hadn't found time to play it yet) and so we can't wait to boot up co-op on it tomorrow. As for the DLC, anything new like newer levels or even the L4D1 characters as playable in 2 will be OK with me.

would it not make sense that if it were DLC, these 4 would be new skins for the survivors with a new mini campaign to boot. They are posted all over the place in game in l4d2, so it would make sense.

I don’t get it, companies release new sequels every year but Valve does it for this awesome franchise and fans get p**sed off because they think that Valve, unlike every other company should give them everything for free. Valve promised DLC, they never said they wouldn’t do sequels. They complain that each new game kills the community for the previous ones. I laugh at that crap, Madden does a new game each year with hardly anything new but rosters and GUI changes and nobody bitches about that. Valve has created a spoiled, whiny ass monster by doing so many nice things for their fans.

Spare the rod….

Ive been playing the game on pc for two days now and after playing the Dark Carnival campaign finale i can safely say dlc starring the midnight riders as playable characters would be incredible.

For a totally made up band they sound alright aswell Laughing
