Square Enix and Gas Powered Games have released a ton of Supreme Commander 2 screenshots, and expectedly they're all epic like Peter Kay's Sunday brunch.

The second Sup Com's controversially opting for a less 'demanding' RTS setup, which means the axing of economy management and even tech levels - both staple features of the first game and its predecessor Total Annihilation.

"If I start the game and in the first 60 seconds I build a tank, I want that tank to be able to deliver the killing blow to my opponent 35 minutes to 90 minutes later," explained mastermind Christ Taylor, who once referred to us as "the undisputed kings of Sup Com". True story.

UPDATE: SE's just announced that the game will be released on PC and Xbox 360 in Spring 2010.

"The partnership with Square Enix has been a highlight of my career," Chris Taylor says in the release. "I couldn't be more proud of what the team has accomplished, as the game has continually exceeded all of my expectations throughout its development."
