Diablo III release date is 2011 (at the earliest)

Blizzard time stamps future projects
Diablo III's release date has been officially clarified as the "next few years"... which isn't much of a clarification, really.

That's according to a slide from a New York Blizzard presentation today, which also penned StarCraft II expansion packs for the "next few years".

During the presentation, Activision Blizzard CFO, Thomas Tippl said the division has a full pipeline of content, which he presented in the slide pictured on this page.

According to the slide, Diablo's return won't happen until 2011 at the earliest.

Diablo Nukem Forever me thinks Laughing

Haha too right! I wonder after another year of waiting whether they will update the graphics because surely it will start to look pretty dated?

They need the extra time to work out extra ways of squeezing more cash out of people. One character class per disc so you need to buy about 7 copies to get the full experience? Sounds about right.

Torchlight would be better with multiplayer, but until they add that it's worth looking into League of Legends too. It's pretty much just DotA but standalone. Works pretty well too, but expect to get screwed over when your team doesn't communicate Smile

play Torchlight while you wait an excellent game and very cheap.

Agree with that, Torchlight is superb.

I need to pick up Torchlight but there are so many good games going right now I don't know when I'll pick this up. In positive news maybe I'll get it sometime mid 2010 so the wait for Diablo III isn't too unbearable lol.
