But it's a U.K. magazine. Don't they have truth in advertising laws back there? Are you allowed to do crazy photo shop on pictures like they do in the U.S.?

Rampling is an exceptional actress, a woman who wore her skin in a very natural but erotic way. I believe she has aged beautifully, something that is a rare entity in the film world. Her picture has a certain edge to it as well as a vulnerability.

I am not familiar with Eva Green's work but she is certainly a splendid looking girl but not terribly distinct in her look.

Photographically I prefer Newton Helmut's image. His artistry is emulated but never exceeded.

I completely agree with everything you said, shutterbabe, and am glad that I'm not the only one unfamiliar with Eva. As for Charlotte, she really has aged beautifully ~ still sensuous.

I think I am stuck in time, lillibelle. So full of admiration for many actors who came to the screen with their own brand of uniqueness, that special kind of beauty and intelligence that transcended beyond film.

It seems that much of the new talent is a prototype of sorts. Almost predictable.

I acknowledge that this new generation of film stars has its gifts but I am not awed by what I have seen on the screen lately.

And, yes, Charlotte is still alluring. She is a classic and I am pleased to view her photograph again.

The picture above shows someone who seems too skinny and sickly looking, but the photos you referred were better, although I suspect they were airbrushed, a regular practice before photoshopping which smoothed skin, eliminated boniness and covered any flaws (even freckles). Few women have such small bones that they don't appear "bony" when underweight for their height. And I don't care if it is a Helmut Newton photo, it's awful.

Charlotte looks fine in these pictures from your link but looks like skin and bones in the HUFF post picture. Was she a drug addict at the time of the pictures from Huffpost?

hmm.. CHARLOTTE RAMPLING broke ground when that pic was taken by Helmut Newton that it made TIME/NEWSWEEK mags.. also to PR the release of the NIGHT PORTER..

bar none.. RAMPLING was HOT.. HOT ..HOT.. and so controversial when that pic was taken.. and Eva Green.. doesn't even come close.. not by a long shot.

Charlotte Rampling is eternally beautifully. She is now well into her 60s, and had a nude scene in a movie called The Swimming Pool (I believe). She still looks beautiful with or without her clothes on. And this is not surgically enhanced beauty.

Agree - I find Charlotte to be intriguingly beautiful - her face is breathtaking. Her eyes convey intelligence and an unstudied playfulness - not just a come hither look. But really, why do I care... I love looking at stunning women from a strictly aesthetic standpoint.

This is more a judgment of the photographer's skills than these ladies' looks.
Although both these ladies are beautiful, I just had to vote Rampling. The pose is so much more natural in Rampling's photo than in Green's.
