R&B; newcomer Jason DeRulo has knocked electronic artist Owl City off the top of the US singles chart.
The 20-year-old singer, who hails from Miramar in Florida, climbs from two to No.1 with 'Whatcha Say', a track which features a sample from Imogen Heap's 'Hide and Seek'.
Owl City's 'Fireflies' slips to two, while Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State of Mind' leaps to a new peak of three.
The highest new entry of the week comes from Lady GaGa, who debuts at nine with 'Bad Romance' to notch up her fifth consecutive US top ten hit.
Meanwhile, all five new tracks from Taylor Swift's Fearless album reissue debut inside the top 30, led by 'Jump Then Fall' at number ten. Her existing top 40 hit, 'You Belong With Me', slides from 11 to 14.
