Official Friday Night Lights Season 4 Thread (US Directv Pace)

october 28th...........it returns

for those who dont know FNL is THE best show on tv and returns for its 4th 13 episode season on directv

"there are 2 types of people, those who love FNL and those who have never seen it" - kyle chandler (coach taylor)

that quote sums it up,its impossible to watch this show and not love it!

first 3 seasons on dvd are quite cheap, worth catching up if you havnt seen any fnl

i know 1 or 2 DS posters are fellow panthers but this thread may still bomb lol

any fans out there? how do you think this season will pan out? great storlyine in place with dillon panthers vs dillon lions!

I think you probably already know that I'll definitely be watching.

FNL is such an underrated show. It's a shame that it doesn't get a better audience, but to be fair, it's done extremely well to get a fourth and fifth season. Not many shows have been given the kind of second chance that FNL has. Thank god for DirecTV!

I've got the first season on DVD, but I'm really hoping that Seasons 2 and 3 eventually make it to R2. If they don't within the next six months then I'll probably just pick up the R1 sets instead.

I'll be watching. it is a fantastic show. i was prepared for it to be axed. but no we get another 2 seasons which is amazing. hopefully it'll go on after that. I wonder what actors will be in it though? Most people left Dillion for college last season.

one of the best soundtracks to any tv show outthere

i got the explosions in the sky album because i love the backgroud music so much

#33 riggins is around because he decided nt to go uni

i guess lyla and sarcasan(QB#1 always!) will probably have 4 episode arcs like smash and street had last year

i dont mind characters going out if its written so well like it was last year

i think i will switch my allegience to the lions lol, underdog story and who can side against coach????

also tami taylor-best MILF of all time?

My understanding is that Lyla and Tyra are gone, Riggins and Saracen will remain in semi-recurring roles and that Julie and Landry are the only two remaining original full time cast members from the kids cast (as they are the only two still at school).

no more Adrianne Palicki

I'm holding off for now.

Sick of waiting for R2 DVD releases for Seasons 2 and 3 so I've bought seasons 2 and 3 on R1 instead. Typically the S3 set has turned up first so I'm waiting for the season 2 set to arrive and rewatching season 1 in the meantime.

Full rewatch and then into season 4.

Just started series 1. I missed it the first time around and was actually a little surprised to find out it was still on the air. I think it's been moved around quite a bit.

So far, it's excellent has lived up to the hype given by my friends / family. Excellent storytelling and (as I'm a native Texan and know the difference) spot on accents and writing.

I have a new obsession. Yay!
