What hacks me off about all these stupid reports is that the fact she is bankrupt means she can't pay off her debts, in fact she doesn't have any debts! So why do they keep saying she has to do this and that to pay off her goddam debts! The whole fricking point of bankruptcy is that you cease to be in bloody debt!

She can't have run up more debts post bankruptcy can she? I mean who on earth would lend her money or give her credit?

You cannot legally pay off a creditor once you are bankrupt, simple as that. So she cannot have paid her tax bill, she doesn't have a tax debt. She is bankrupt. And while you are bankrupt, for reasons I do not understand, you have a Nil tax code, and pay what you would have paid to the tax man to the Official Receiver instead. I am clueless as to why, just that you do!

Discharge is automatic after 1 year so she should be a discharged bankrupt now (unless the OR imposed a longer "sentence" on her for whatever reason)

I was referring to the part where you say "she cannot have paid off her tax bill".

Also the NT code only lasts up until the end of the financial year that you are mde bankrupt in - so if you go bankrupt in march you will only be a NT for 1 month!

The money she is paying for her IPA will be going to her creditors (or those that can be bothered to put in a claim anyway!) so in a way she will be paying off her bill.
