I'm a 45 year old man, so not in the Boyzone demographic. However, it is very sad that someone so young and who meant so much to so many has gone.

I think his fellow band members have behaved with such decorum, and I feel for them and for the family. But in particular my thoughts are with Stephen Gately's husband, and I hope he can get through his tremendous loss with the help of all around him.

My heart goes out to Andrew, Stephen's family and Boyzone. The boys in particular have conducted themselves admirabley - they've done their 'brother' proud.

RIP Stephen. I hope, wherever you are, you can feel how much you are loved and missed.

I was a huge Boyzone fan when i was a teenager, i was determined that i was going to marry Ronan someday!

I adored the boyz as a group and they were my boyband. I covered my bedroom walls with their posters and knew all the words to their songs.

I was a typical moody teenager and i didn't really speak to my parents for one reason or another, but i distinctly remeber telling my mother to shift out of the way of the tv because the boyz were on!

I never got to see them in concert, something i will always regret.

Every morning, the first thing i do before i get out of bed is check my rss feeds on my Blackberry. The morning of Stephen's passing was no different, except i couldn't believe my eyes! Not Stephen, he's was far too young to be taken from us! I switched the tv on to double check. And then i cried.

I cried for that teenager, dancing around her room. For the adult who would never see him perform. For his family who had lost their beautiful man. For the Boyz who had "lost their brother". But mostly for his husband, who had lost his other half.

So so sad

Sleep well Stephen xxx

Yes that was so sweet...Jack comforting his dad.

Also when the sky reporter was saying 'there is no sign of Andrew Cowles arriving yet' the camera was zoomed in on him talking outside the church!

I used to love Boyzone when I was younger it's heart breaking that such a talented young man should die so soon. I'm watching the coverage on BBC and it really is devastating.

My heart goes out to his bandmates, friends and of course family and his husband I hope they can gain some strength during this awful time. Also, my thoughts are with the fans of Stephen and Boyzone, I would be devastated if was of my idols was to pass away so tragically.

RIP Stephen

Just watching the funeral coverage on Sky - really moving, especially now the singing has started.

I am reminded of going to a Capital Radio 'Party in the Park' in Hyde Park. It was the first Boyzone performance after Stephen came out. The crowd gave a huge cheer when Stephen came on stage and I remember how relieved and happy he seemed.

R.I.P.

I'm watching SKY news at the moment, I've been in tears. He was just so young, it's so unfair. My heart goes out to his partner, family and friends. My thoughts are with you all today. The remaining Boyzone have showed great strength, I'm sure Stephen is looking down and so proud of them and all that loved him. I'm sure it will be a great send off with elephants & zeppelins.

RIP Stephen, thanks for all the gifts you gave during your life. You will be missed.

This is such a lovely service for him and the footage of the people outside the church is so moving. Thank you to Sky for covering it in full. RIP Stephen, it's now obvious how many people's lives you were a part of.

I am - it's really spoiling the emotion of the service.
