Gavin Rossdale has revealed that he wants to perform a duet with his 3-year-old son Kingston.

The rock musician, who has two children with his singer wife Gwen Stefani, said that his eldest son has told him that he wants to follow in his parents' footsteps and work in the music industry.

Rossdale told Popeater: "At the last benefit we were at, he wanted to get on stage with me and sing. I told him we can, but we have to practise a bit first."

The 42-year-old continued: "He always wants to come now. During the show, he loves to be on stage on the side. But he loves to play the drums during the sound checks and play with my guitar pedals. He likes to check the mic."

Kingston and 14-month-old brother Zuma regularly go on tour with both Rossdale and Stefani's band No Doubt.
