I've had my own angry, screaming battles with my health insurance carrier. It seems everyone I've talked to has had a similar experience. I just don't see them marching on Washington about it.
Here in Haiti, a country all too often characterized by internal instability, the biggest scandals of all have external origins. Just ask the Haitians.
Welcome back to the 1990s, brought to you by our sponsor, the GOP. Now, as it was then, we gawk while health care reform slips away.
There's no question that, in this fragmented media culture marked by an acute attention deficit disorder, Obama is the prime driver of news. But that doesn't mean he has to do it himself.
EngenderHealth focuses on far more than fistula repair and prevention. They are dedicated to improving the overall health and well-being of people in the countries where they work.
Barack Obama is the first president to not just accept the premise of the "having a beer" test, but to embrace it and turn it into reality.

Israel's policies towards the holy city will guarantee that the desired peace process continues to elude Palestinians and Israelis.
When we repress important needs and desires so severely that we are unable to accept them as a part of ourselves, we give up the possibility of a controlled, thoughtful response to them.
