What is an AOL Music profile?
Every member of AOL Music has an AOL Music profile. Your profile allows you to see songs you've listened to, playlists you've created and more.
How do I create a AOL Music profile?
If you are a member of AOL Music, you already have a profile. If not, you can sign up for a free account by clicking here
Is an AOL Music profile public or private?
By default, an AOL Music profile is private. You have the option to make it public.
If I make my AOL Music profile public, who can see it?
Anyone and everyone on the web can see your profile if you make it public.
How do I make my AOL Music profile public?
You can make your AOL Music profile public by clicking the 'Settings' link in the drop down menu that appears when you hold your cursor over the 'Your Stuff' link on the upper right of any AOL Music page.
How do I find my AOL Music profile?
Your AOL Music profile is here: http://music.aol.com/profile. You can find also find your AOL Music profile by clicking on your screenname on the upper right of any AOL Music page once you have Signed In.
How do I edit my AOL Music profile info?
You can edit your AOL Music profile by clicking the 'Edit Profile' link in the drop down menu that appears when you hold your cursor over the 'Your Stuff' link on the upper right of any AOL Music page.
How do I change my AOL Music profile image?
You can change you profile image on by clicking the 'Edit Icon' link below your profile image. You must have at least Flash version 10 to do this. If you need to install click here.

Yes, AOL Music is a free site available to anyone and everyone.
Do I need to be a member of AOL to use AOL Music?
No, you do not need to be a member of AOL to use AOL Music.
Are there any benefits to registering for an AOL Music account?
Yes, there are many benefits to registering for a free AOL Music account. These include:
  • Create a profile and share your musical tastes and activity with the world.
  • Create and share video playlists.
  • Keep track of everything you listen to on and off AOL Music.
  • Post comments on AOL Music sites.

I already am a member of AOL. Do I still need to create an AOL Music account?
No. All AOL members are already members of AOL Music.
I already have an AIM screenname. Do I still need to create an AOL Music account?
No. If you have an AIM screenname, you are already a member of AOL Music.
How do I Sign In to AOL Music?
You can sign in by clicking here. You can also Sign In by clicking the blue 'Sign In / Register' button at the upper right of any AOL Music page.
How do I know if I am signed in?
If you are signed in to AOL Music, your screenname will appear on the upper right of any AOL Music page.

Playlists

How do I add videos to my playlist?
To add videos to your playlist you must be signed in. Then, follow these steps:
  • Click the blue 'Add' button under the video.
  • Choose which playlist you want to add the video to by checking the box next to the playlist name.
  • Click the blue 'Add' button on the flyout.
How do I create a new video playlist?
To create a video playlist you must be signed in. Then, follow these steps:
  • Click the blue 'Add' button under any video.
  • Click the 'Create A New Video Playlist' link on the menu that appears.
  • Type the name of your new playlist in the box.
  • Click the blue 'OK' button.
How do I find my playlists?
You can find your playlists here: http://music.aol.com/profile/playlists. You can also find your playlists by clicking on the 'Playlists' link in the drop down menu that appears when you hold your cursor over the 'Your Stuff' link on the upper right of any AOL Music page.
Are my playlists public or private?
All playlists are public by default. To make a playlist private, follow these steps:
  • Go to the playlist page.
  • Click the 'Edit Playlist Info' button.
  • Click the 'Only You' radio button under 'This Playlist can be viewed by:' text.
  • Click the blue 'OK' button.
How do I reorder videos in my playlist?
To reorder your playlist, follow these steps:
  • Mouse over the reorder bar on the left side of a video in your playlist.
  • Click and hold down the mouse. While keeping the mouse clicked, move the reorder bar to the new spot.
  • Release the mouse.

Commenting

How do I leave a comment?
To comment on a video or song, click inside the comment box, type your comment and then click the 'Add' button below the box.
Do I need to be signed in to leave a comment?
Yes, you must be signed in to leave a comment.
How do I report an inappropriate or offensive comment?
You can report an inappropriate or offensive comment by clicking on the 'Report This!' link on the upper right of the comment. Please be respectful of other people's opinions. Videos

How do I find videos to watch?
You can find videos by visiting our video hub by clicking here. When you find a video you like, click on the video thumbnail and you will be taken to the video page.
Once I find a video to watch, how do I play the video?
Videos immediately start playing when you visit a video page. In some cases, you may see a video advertisement before your video begins.
What is Sessions?
Sessions are exclusive live performances filmed at our AOL Music studio. Top artists from around the world visit our studios in New York and Los Angeles to play their latest and greatest songs for you and the entire AOL Music community. You can view these video performances at the Sessions hub here: http://music.aol.com/sessions/latest.
What is The Interface?
The Interface is a video program with exclusive live performances by up and coming artists filmed at our studio. It is a great way to discover what's new and hot on the music scene. You can see all the performances many ways: You can download Interface performances as a free podcast to take with you on the go.
How can I purchase videos I like?
You can purchase videos, songs, albums and ringtones by visiting our commerce partners' sites. Below each video are links to these partners.

What is CD Listening Party?
CD Listening Party is a way to discover and listen to the newest albums released each week, for free. You can visit CD Listening Party here: http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds
Why do albums on CD Listening Party change each week?
Every week new albums are released. CD Listening Party is a way to discover these new albums and fall in love with them. We encourage you to support the artist and buy the album if you like it. What is MP3 of the Day?
