A kosher deli in Brooklyn known for its homestyle cooking is gearing up for Rosh Hashanah with a special deal that is sure to impress. NY1's Michelle Park filed the following report.

The Jewish new year celebration of Rosh Hashanah is here and if you are looking to chow down on some holiday favorites, Ben's Kosher Deli in Bayside has a special package ready for you.

Ben's holiday meal package, which serves 10, starts with stuffed cabbage and a choice of chopped liver or gefilte fish, as well as matzo ball soup.

Entrees include roast chicken, and whole turkey, and you get a choice of sides ranging from noodle pudding to cole slaw. They also throw in some rugalach for dessert -- all in healthy portions.

"There's plenty of food. We are from the old school of thought where you get a lot of food for the value," says Ben's Kosher Deli manager Elaine Marmiroli

Of course, it's not Rosh Hashanah without brisket -- a jewish classic and a favorite for diners at Ben's.

"We cook it with a lot of vegetables, really slow, to get the meat so tender -- that's why people like it, and that's the way people like it," said Ben's Kosher Deli head chef Alex Ayala.

To get their signature tender beef brisket, the meat is roasted in a pan for about two and a half hours. It's then sliced and served up on a platter.

The full Rosh Hashanah package for 10 will run consumers $280. The restaurant will also customize the order for those who wish to serve more or less.

Out of a possible 30, Ben's Kosher Deli receives an 18 for food, an 11 for décor and a 15 for service. A meal at the Bayside establishment usually runs about $25.
