Jenna Ushkowitz is currently a Swing/Understudy Ilse in the Broadway show Spring Awakening.
Jenna started her career at the early age of 3 with hundreds of print ads like the front of the Alphabets Box and national commercials such as JELL-O, Burger King and Hess Truck. Her television credits include "Sesame Street," "Reading Rainbow," "As the World Turns," "Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards," and a pilot for Playhouse Disney, "The Imagination Movers." Jenna has been hosting for the YES! Network since 2006--for a "behind the scenes," Yankees TV show geared towards youths, called "Yankees on Deck." She also appeared on talk shows such as "Live with Regis and Kathy Lee," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Sally Jesse Raphael," and "Rosie O'Donnell." She has also appeared in the Independent films Babyface and Educated, where she got to work with Georgia Lee, Martin Scorcese's apprentice.
Jenna performed with "The Broadway Kids," in a musical review at the John Houseman, The Douglas Fairbanks and Lambs Theatre. She has traveled with the Broadway Kids around the USA and performed at many charity events. She can also be heard on the albums The Broadway Kids Back on Broadway and The Broadway Kids Sing America. Some of her favorite voiceovers are the Toy Biz doll, "Patty Playground" and the voice chip for the Fisher Price "I Can Play Piano."
Jenna made her Broadway debut at age 9, in the 1996 revival of The King and I, performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and appearing on the Original Broadway Cast Recording. She has portrayed the role of Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods twice (Trinity Theatre and The Theresa Lang). At 13, she was lucky enough to sing The National Anthem at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
Jenna graduated Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Acting and a minor in Musical Theatre in three years. She hopes one day to record an album and be a Disney Princess voice!
Jenna thanks her Parents and Brother for always believing in her, for she wouldn't be anywhere without their undying love and support.
