Meeting Challenge 3: Failing To Focus Salespeople’s Activity
The Sales Leadership Coach
December 13
The more existing accounts that salespeople have, the less time they can devote to prospecting for new client business. Therefore, they need objective criteria to determine which of their prospects to contact first. This can produce huge timesaving that have enabled several organizations to increase sales purely by introducing “prospect criteria”.

Have You Become a Bad E-Mailer?
No question, Sam. Especially smaller credit unions, or those with a more restricted field of membership, do not make business loans.

Even personal loans to a business owner may be tougher at a credit union than at a bank. It is a matter of how familiar and comfortable the lenders are with looking at tax returns and financial statements.

As regulators continue to be less flexible, lenders need to show they have the capabilities to adequately assess the debt-paying ability of their borrowers. That requires in most cases an enhanced ability to analyze tax returns and financial statements.

Mobile Business Traveler: Smartphones are a Traveler's Best Friend
Hello,

It can be quite mind-boggling how companies can spend many thousands of dollars undertaking training and then forget about the consistency of their training messages.

We make training videos which improves consistency of messages, but it still requires management at all levels to be one the same page. This is where refresher training is needed and getting all staff on board with the company vision, values and goals.

Informative article.

Cheers,

Consistency in Sales Training Relates Directly to Consistency in Production
Dan, I think you make a lame tired arguement about credit unions paying taxes. I received an irate email the other day from a credit union president arguing that CUs do pay payroll taxes. So do all other non-profit agencies. The taxes that really matter are corporate taxes which for a successful bank can be significant. CUs pay no taxes toward helping fund our federal government, nor do they pay state corporation taxes which help our states. In my opinion, CUs that allow nearly anyone to join should have to give up their tax exempt status for that privelage. Those that keep their membership very closely regulated should be able to retain their tax exempt status. I am speaking as a taxpayer who wants to see all financial institutions treated equally. There is a place for both CUs and banks.
