COST: Hotel costs for two nights plus 5 meals will be provided.  Participants are responsible for transportation costs

Black Episcopal colleges celebrate, reestablish focus at 'A Day of Recognition'
(2/19/2008) Howard University in Washington, D.C., was the site for "A Day of Recognition," which brought together presidents, students, chaplains and faculty of the three historically black Episcopal colleges -- St. Augustine's in Raleigh, North Carolina; St. Paul's in Lawrenceville, Virginia; and Voorhees in Denmark, South Carolina -- to acknowledge them for the roles they play in their communities and society.

Black History Month book event highlights reconciliation, celebration, education
(2/12/2008) Radically welcoming people, overcoming racial boundaries, celebrating American pilgrims of the faith, and inculturation (the intersection of church, culture, and ethnicity) were the subject matters of titles featured at the February 8 Black History Month book signing held at the Catalyst Caf and Books in New York City.

Black History Month is celebrated at Episcopal Church Center
(2/4/2008) In recognition of February's designation as Black History Month, the Episcopal Church's Office of Black Ministries has invited black clergy and laity to the Episcopal Church Center every Tuesday during the month to officiate at the daily 12:10 p.m. Eucharist service in the Chapel of Christ the King and lead a lecture series from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the legacy of black people in the Episcopal Church.
