MILAVIA is dedicated to military aviation. We offer a broad range of military aviation related content for the aviation fan.
The Aircraft directory focuses on modern combat aircraft; fighters, ground attack aircraft and bombers that are in service today. The Air Force section offers you the resource guide to easily find the airforce info you are looking for. The Air Shows section provides the airshow calendar and many reports. Each air show report has many photos of the flying displays. The Specials section has various military aviation content, ranging from live training exercise reports to World War Two articles, from specially painted jets to army helicopter training photos.

RNZAF Open Day 2009 - Whenuapai Air Show

In March 2009, the Royal New Zealand Air Force organized its annual open day and air show at Whenuapai. Chris Gee delivers his review with photos of the RNZAF C-130, 757, P-3 Orion, Sioux and Huey helicopters, the Red Checkers display team, and other flying displays such as the RAAF Hornet, USAF C-17 and many local warbirds.

United Arab Emirates Selects M-346 Master

The United Arab Emirates government announced on February 25 at IDEX 2009 (International Defence Exhibition & Conference) in Abu Dhabi that it had begun negotiations for the acquisition of 48 Alenia Aermacchi M-346 "Master" advanced lead-in fighter trainer aircraft. The M-346 was selected over the BAE Systems Hawk Mk.128 and KAI T-50 Golden Eagle, which were also short-listed.

The agreement also includes the creation of a joint venture in the UAE between Alenia Aermacchi and the Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala) to establish a final assembly line for the M-346. The UAE Government's selection of the M-346 forms… Read Full Story

Hurlburt Field in Florida is home to USAF Special Operations Command (AFSOC), the USAF Special Operations School (AFSOS) and the 1st Special Operations Wing (1st SOW).
