XBOXLIVE DIAMOND CARD FAQ

This FAQ is intended to answer the questions that many of you have about what The Diamond Card is, how to get one of your own, when you will recieve it in relation to when you signed up, and other important questions.

Official Website: http://www.xboxlivediamond.com/

Xbox Live expands the boundaries of online gameplay and brings personalized entertainment experiences home to gamers nationwide with the launch of the Xbox Live Diamond Card, an exclusive benefit to Xbox Live paid subscribers.

The Xbox Live Diamond Card, through partnerships with leading stores, restaurants and retailers, offers exclusive discounts and promotions to cardholders

The card, personalized with your gamertag, will be free to all year-long paid subscribers in the US. This includes those who have been paid members for at least 12 months as well as those subscribers who have paid for subscriptions totaling at least 12 consecutive months on the original Xbox® and Xbox 360.

REGISTRATION

I registered for my Diamond Card but haven't received it in the mail yet.
Cards will begin printing in January 2006, so if you registered in December 2005, please be aware that it will take 6-8 weeks to receive your card. Otherwise, please expect 4-6 weeks to receive your card.

MY CARD

Whose name appears on the card if a parent or guardian is actually billed on my Xbox Live account?
Only the gamertag associated with the account appears on the Diamond Card. Our registration data will maintain your first and last name that is input at the time of your Diamond registration. Truly the Diamond Card is your Xbox identity merged with your offline entertainment!

Does the card expire at the same time as my subscription?
No, the card expires 12 months from its issue date.

I've lost my card, what should I do?
Contact us at support@xboxlivediamond.com and we will reissue you your card. Please note that it will take 4-6 weeks to receive a new card.

What if I change my gamertag, can I get a new card?
The card you receive is good for 12 months; at renewal you can update your gamertag on your Diamond Card.

DEALS AND RETAILERS:

Why the Diamond Card?
The Xbox Live Diamond Card was created to reward our most loyal members--to enhance their entertainment experience.

Tell me a bit more about the introductory offers. What can I get with this card?
Present your Xbox Live Diamond Card to receive 2-for-1 subs at Quiznos, 10% off online purchases at Target, 2-for-1 sandwiches at Carl's Jr and Hardee's, 2-for-1 rentals at Hollywood Video, 20% off at Etnies and 10% off at Sam Goody. Complete offer information will be available on the Diamond website.

Which retail partners are onboard the Xbox Live Diamond Card? How many partners do you have currently?
Partners include: Barnes & Noble.com, Sam Goody, Costco, Timberland, McDonald's, Cambridge Soundworks, and SteveMadden.com. The Xbox Live Diamond program will launch with 50 participating vendor partners. New additions will be added throughout the year, so check back often for program updates.

Will there be any game partners or offers that I can take advantage of in Xbox Live Marketplace?
Currently, there are no offers through the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Can I use the card to buy discounted Xbox products or services? Do I get Microsoft Points rewards for using my card, like other loyalty schemes?
The card is only good at participating retailers. This is not tied to the Microsoft Points system, so you will not be able to earn Points by using the card.

Re: Xbox Live Diamond Card FAQ
Just to add a note here...  If you register now.. it will likely take longer then 6-8 weeks to receive your card.  I registered on february 4th, and just received my e-mail notice yesterday that my card will arrive in 2 -3 weeks.  In other words my own card is likely to take around 14-16 weeks to recieve.
