Accused in Politkovskaya case cleared by jury and walk free
All principals in the murder trial of journalist Anna Politkovskaya were freed in the courtroom. The jury unanimously cleared Ibragim and Dzhabrail Makhmudov and Sergei Khadzhikurbanov, a former police officer, of involvement in the killing of the journalist.
