Multi Level Marketing Companies Are Everywhere - How Do I Know Which One To Choose?

Perhaps one of the most important decision that you'll make in your home business career is choosing an opportunity that will help you achieve your dreams. What makes the process painful is that there are so many Multi Level Marketing Companies promoting "the perfect product" or "the perfect compensation plan" that it makes it confusing at best, and frustrating at worst to sort through the mess.

I have built over the year several massive, successful organizations and I credit a great majority of that success to knowing how to spot an appropriate opportunity and take advantage of it at the right time. I wanted to give you a few warnings, as well as a few thoughts on some ideas that can help you to sort through the garbage and choose a business out of all of the Multi Level Marketing Companies that are crying out for your attention online.

First, the warnings. There is one problem that I see again and again in the home business industry, and no matter how many Multi Level Marketing Companies claim otherwise, the truth remains the same:

The single most important factor in choosing a MLM company to work with is to choose a company with a competitive product. Now some products compete with price, and some products compete with value. Regardless of what your competitive factor is, you have to be a competitive, unique product that consumers can't buy in as high of quality, or at that price from anywhere but you.

Over the years, I have heard companies claiming that their compensation plan is so good that it doesn't matter at all what their product is. These are claims built on sand. The question to ask when taking a look at all of the various Multi Level Marketing Companies that are out there is this - would I buy this service anyway, at THIS PRICE, if I was not involved in the company as a distributor? If the answer is 'no way' you had better steer clear, because if you go for the money without the value, you're building a business on sand.

So the first thing that you have to look out for is a GREAT product.

The second problem that I've seen in Multi Level Marketing Companies are compensation plans that reward the wrong behavior, and are based on inappropriate business actions. For example, there are legal problems a company can run into if they are 'front end loading' or if they are paying distributor commissions for nothing but sign up fees.

Steer clear of anything that is rewarding any form of monetary compensation for anything but the sale of products and goods to the end consumer. Multi Level Marketing Companies that attempt to side step this rule may get investigated and shut down by the FTC. The rule is that 70% of distributor commissions have to come from legitimate product sales or the company is operating out of an illegal pyramid model.

Also, you're going to want to find a compensation plan that is lucrative, and will keep the money earners in your downline long term. If a compensation plan rewards too much at the lower levels of growth, or pays too much to the top earners, you'll have a problem with long term attrition in your downline.

Which brings me to the final, and most important thing to look for when researching Multi Level Marketing Companies - you've got to find a marketing system that will actually work and help you market the product that the company sells in a way that is fun, simple, and more importantly...

...It has to work.

You would not believe the amount of people in various Multi Level Marketing Companies that are marketing products with systems that haven't worked well since 1992 and because of that their checks have been going down for more than ten years, just because they won't adapt their strategies. If you want to succeed from home - you need a strategy that will work, work well, and more importantly - it will work for you!
