Gears of War® 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 5 million-selling blockbuster action game, and one of the most popular Xbox 360® games in history.

• Jaw-dropping visuals: Gears of War 2 raises the graphics bar for next-generation games through its breathtaking visual effects, made possible through advances in Unreal Engine 3.
• Engaging story: The last cities on Sera are sinking, swallowed by a new Locust threat from below. As Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad pursue the Locust, the mission turns deeply personal for Dominic Santiago as he uncovers clues in the search for his missing wife, Maria.
• New gameplay features: The original game's genre-defining gameplay has been elevated to new, vicious heights. Engage in survival of the fastest with new chainsaw duels. Pick up and carry downed enemies to absorb gunfire as you charge into battle. And as if that wasn't enough, executions make a gruesome return—the trusty curb stomp is now joined by a whole series of weapon-specific finishing moves.
• New and updated weapons: Gears 2 offers even more ways to bring enemies to their knees, with an overhauled arsenal of classic weaponry plus many all-new additions, including moveable shields, new grenades, and devastating heavy weapons.
• Co-op campaign: The revolutionary co-op play introduced in the original Gears is back with a vengeance, with an upgrade that allows players to seamlessly to drop-in and drop-out of a campaign with their friends through Xbox LIVE® without disrupting the game. Additionally, each player can select their own difficulty level, so that players of different skill levels can play together and enjoy the entire campaign in co-op mode.
• New and expanded multiplayer: The most action-packed online experience gets even better with new and improved competitive multiplayer experiences on Xbox LIVE. New modes, such as the all-new co-operative multiplayer Horde mode provide all-new ways to mix things up. A new party system has been added so you can easily find friends, form a full or partial team, and continue together from match-to-match without the need to reform after each game. And TrueSkill matchmaking joins players with similar skill levels together for competitive multiplayer matches.
