Tashi and Jamyang qualify for 2010 Olympic Winter Games

New Delhi, Mar 18 Indian skiers Tashi Lundup and Jamyang Namgial have qualified for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games to be held in Vancouver, Canada from February 12.

The duo, both serving with the Indian army and posted at High Altitude Warfare School in Jammu and Kashmir, would represent India in the Alpine Ski in the men category.

Tashi qualified for the megaevent by securing points in Federation of International Ski races held in Bolu, Turkey on March 13, 14 and Bursa on March 10, 11 and also from his participation in the World Ski Championship in Liberec, Czech Republic last month.
