through education, conservation and arts participation.

The Little Loomhouse is typically open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and
the third Saturday of each month 10:00 AM-3:30PM. Because we are operated by a strictly
volunteer staff, we ask that you call in advance to ensure that someone is there to greet you.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
National Trust for Historic Preservation Lends Support to the Little Loomhouse
The Little Loomhouse has been awarded a $5,000 matching grant from the Kentucky Preservation Fund to
be utilized for John Milner and Associates to perform a field investigation of the interior and
exterior of the three historic cabins of the Little Loomhouse. John Milner and Associates are
industry leaders in preservation of historic properties. The Little Loomhouse is fortunate to
have the opportunity to work with this outstanding organization. John Milner and Associates will
identify problems, deficiencies and their causes and report findings and recommendations consistent
with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
Recommendations will be prioritized by need and acted on by the Lou Tate Foundation Board of
Directors.
The Little Loomhouse needs to put together matching funds in order to utilize this grant. We
would like to invite our members to contribute to the Little Loomhouse Preservation Fund. Any
donation will be helpful. Please specify on your donation that you would like it used for the
Preservation Fund. Together we can ensure the future of the Little Loomhouse for generations to
