Raimi and Ghost House have more remakes on tap

Variety reports that Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures has picked up the remake rights to a pair of Eurohorror features. The company will produce English-language versions of Bigas Luna’s 1987 ANGUISH and Martin Barnewitz’s more recent ROOM 205.

Fango hit up the LA premiere of New Line/Platinum Dunes’ new FRIDAY THE 13th last night at Grauman’s Chinese in the heart of Hollywood, and chatted with a handful of the flick’s cast and crew as they made their way down the black carpet. On hand were the bulk of flick’s players, including a rather enthusiastic Derek Mears (who has assumed the mantle of the iconic Jason Voorhees), as well as producer Michael Bay, Dunes alumnus Jordana Brewster (from TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING), director Wes Craven and more (see photos below).

Director Kristoffer Aaron Morgan got in touch with an update and an exclusive piece of production art (see below) from his fright feature HOME. Scripted by Eric Vespe (also a producer) and Matt Ward, the movie will showcase creatures and other horrific illusions designed by Richard Taylor of Weta FX in New Zealand, where the film will shoot.
