 While not taking the stage, singing autographs or appearing on video (see the latter here) at our recent New York Weekend of Horrors convention, fan-favorite Jason actor Kane Hodder took a moment to chat up a few upcoming projects. One of them sees him joining the ranks of those who hunt real-life spirits of the dead.

 Fresh terror stalks the woods in SCALP, a fright feature that has its debut run this Friday, June 12-Thursday, June 18 at New York City’s Tribeca Cinemas. At Fango’s New York Weekend of Horrors convention a few days back, we took a few minutes to talk to filmmaker Paul Chau (pictured below with actress Carrie Drapac), who was there promoting the movie.
 Writer/director/producer Michael Hall got in touch with info on his indie slasher tribute feature with the no-nonsense title KIDS GO TO THE WOODS… KIDS GET DEAD. He also passed on a couple of exclusive pics from the movie, which you can see below. Shot in Orange County, NY, the movie concerns a teen girl named Casey (Leah Rudick) who goes to a cabin in the woods to celebrate her birthday with a bunch of party-hearty friends, little knowing that a murderous maniac (Joseph Campellone) will put a bloody dent in their festivities. It falls to Casey’s younger brother Scott (Andrew Waffenschmidt) to save the day with the help of a mysterious book that seems to predict their fates. The cast also includes Meghan Miller, Eric Carpenter, Amanda Rising, Kristen Adele, Seth Stephens, Kevin Shea and Carly Goodspeed, with makeup FX by Julie Langer.
 Fango just got word of a new feature called HORROTICA (no relation to our own upcoming FANGOROTICA) that starts principal photography this week in the New York/New Jersey era. Produced by Laughing Duck Media, it’s a horror/comedy directed by Marc Leland and starring a bevy of indie fright-flick starlets and stalwarts, headed by Tiffany Shepis (pictured).
 Writer/director James Felix McKenney and producer Larry Fessenden premiered a new trailer for their latest collaboration SATAN HATES YOU at our Weekend of Horrors convention a few days ago, and now we’ve got it for you as an on-line exclusive. Check out the preview for this homage to Christian scare films, a co-production between Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix and McKenney’s MonsterPants Movies, below.
