The “Rose Campus” of the university lies in a residential district of the capital which was famous for its rose-growing before it was developed. The historic “bâtiment central” was built in 1903 on behalf of the Franciscan Order and was used as a college for Luxembourg’s Catholic priests from 1926 to 1972. Today, it and the neighbouring buildings house the central university administration, the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, as well as parts of the Faculty of Science.
