Final Thoughts: Start Your Engines!

Simulations, whether of driving or flying, are really a different beast than most games. They require more
concentration and often have steeper learning curves. That's sometimes a hard sell in today's gamepad-focused gaming world. Taking a little time and effort to learn the ins and outs of a good, realistic simulator can be immensely rewarding, and you often come out knowing more than just how to mash a few buttons.

If you want to get the most out of your sims, you'll want controllers that match the game you're playing, whether it's commercial aviation flying, maneuvering a Spitfire over London during the Battle of Britain, or taking hard turns on country roads in a good rally game. If simulations appeal to you, it's worth taking the extra step and picking up a good controller.
